Beauty: Face Mask

Halo! I was looking up facial masks for my skin which is not dry nor oily, but I have outbursts of acne. I know the cause of it is constant stress and all that, so I decided to meditate everyday for at least 10 minutes while listening to some jazz, which helps a lot.

Anywho! I found a mask, a little weird, but it works! Here some steps to follow so the mask will work in full affect! It's best to prepare the mask after step 1, as you want to have it ready while your pores are still breathing. :]

Deep Cleaning Cat Litter Facial Mask
4 tablespoons of cat litter
Juice from 1 small lemon
warm water (about half a cup)

In a bowl squeeze the lemon juice over the cat litter (I used Fresh Step). Add water a bit at a time and stir until you have made a paste. Apply the facial evenly to your face and neck. Leave on for 15 minutes and wash off with warm water.

Step 1:  Cleanse. Get all that dirt and make up off! Use a soft cleanser, make sure not to irritate the skin by scrubbing too hard!

Step 2:  Steam, steam, steam! Open those pores and soften that skin. The easiest way to do it is to put a small damp towel in the microwave for 1 minute, let cool, for a few seconds, then put it over your face for at least 30 seconds. Another way to do this is to put hot water in a bowl with your favorite tea bag and drape a towel over your head. Stay at least a foot away so you don't irritate or burn your skin.

Step 3:  Apply the mask! Since it is a mask don't move around too much, use the bathroom first and scratch that itch! Leave in for 15 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

Step 5:  Tone. This gets rid of any soap or mask residue. Make sure not to use an alcohol-based toner because that will dry out the skin, it defeats the purpose! An alternative is oil-free make up remover pads.

Step 6:  Moisturize. This is important! You don't want your skin being dry nor too greasy.

Do this about 2-3 times a week, and see the results! Let me know how it turned out for you!

Toodles! xoxox
